How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail Bike Carrier on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Now, the first thing you may notice about our bike carrier is how it's holding our bike. This is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, meaning that it's gonna put pressure on the front and rear wheel to stabilize the bike on the back of your vehicle. This is gonna work well for those people that have unconventional frames, like step-through bikes, as well as people that just don't want contact to their frame, like carving fiber frame or just a nice paint job. This is gonna allow you to get down the road without any contact to your frame. What I think is super cool about RockyMounts in general is that every contact point where you can make an adjustment is blue, so you know what to reach for and what to do. more

Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 3 Bikes Review - 2022 Ford Bronco Sport - Ku24fr- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Kat Transfer v2 bike carrier on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Now the Transfer is a frame mount, I mean, I'm sorry, a wheel mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a contact point on the front of your wheel and a strap on the back wheel. Essentially that's gonna work well for those bikes that you don't want frame contact to that top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a bike with a nice paint job, this is gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without having any contact to the the frame itself. As far as what you're getting out of this, this is gonna be a step up from the basic bike carrier that you would have, to move multiple bikes. Generally, if you're looking for a four-way for this, you can add an additional extension on here to make this a four carrier. more

Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes Review - 2022 Ford Bronco Sport - HR4000- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike carrier on the back of the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The Destination four bike carrier is a great value way to move multiple bikes to get 'em out on the road for you. It's really flexible where it'll work with kids bikes as well as adult bikes. A couple things that I would like to point out it is a frame mounted bike carrier. So that means that if you have a bike where you don't want contact to the frame like a carbon fiber bike or you have a unconventional frame like a step through, this may not be the best option. You might wanna lean more towards a wheel mount. more

Now the Hollywood Racks Destination E is gonna focus more so on your E-bikes, and that has to do with the fact that it is a frame mounted bike carrier. But what's special about it is this rear bar here, this is gonna allow you to make contact with going with your top tube, your down tube or your seat tube, however you need it, for whatever type of bike you have. So if you have an adult bike and kids bike, or if you have one of those newer E-bikes where the frame is more like a step through bike, you're gonna be able to position this however you need. Now I know you're looking and saying, how can I get this arm across It looks like it'll make contact right here. Well, these actually are removable. more

Saris Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline right here at Etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at the Saris MHS three-bike kit and see how it fits here on our 2020 Ford F-150. So the MHS is gonna be a modular system, that's what MHS stands for, and our specific kit here has the three DUO trays. We have the DUO trays just because these are gonna be our heavy duty, heavy weight capacity, and versatile trays that are able to carry bikes of different shapes and sizes. So if you need to carry around your heavy electric bikes, the DUO tray is what you're going to want to get. Now, the first two trays are gonna have a weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike, but then your further out trays are gonna have lesser weight capacity. So 35 pounds for this third tray. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Ford Expedition NV22G- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Kuat NV 2.0. We're gonna be taking a look at how it fits our 2023 Ford Expedition. Now the first thing when carrying around bikes with your Ford Expedition is that the hitch is pretty high up, which also means that you are gonna be lifting your bikes pretty high up to get onto the bike rack. So with a Kuat NV, I would actually recommend taking a look at the sold separately add-on, which is the access ramp, and that is something you can add to this bike rack that way instead of lifting the bikes up and onto the rack, you can then just ramp them up. This does have a 60 pound weight capacity for those heavier bikes. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Rack Destination Four. We're gonna be taking a look at how it fits our 2023 Ford Expedition. The main thing with the Expedition is when you do wanna carry around bikes, the hitch sits pretty high up so you are gonna have to lifting your bikes up pretty high in order to get them onto the rack. Another thing is that a Destination Four is one of my favorite entry level compact racks and that allow you to carry up to four bikes without taking up a lot of space. So seeing how this fits on the Expedition, some of the things we will be taking a look at is how much accessibility do we have in the car One example is that this bike rack does not tilt away so if you wanted to open up your hatch you would have to take your bikes off. Another thing is that this does have a weight capacity of 35 pounds per bike. more

So that also means you have to lift those heavy electric bikes high up to get onto their bike rack. Well, our Destination E has a ramp included, although not attached, and this ramp will make it a lot easier to get those bikes on and back off the rack. more

The Destination E is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes, with a very impressive weight capacity of up to 70 pounds, which means that we're going to be able to carry our heavy electric E-bikes which is kind of the main draw, and a lot of the features are built around that idea here with the Hollywood Racks Destination E. As we can see, our main point of contact is going to be on the frame here. So unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not really going to be an option available for this rack. But depending on your alternative frame bike, you might be able to adjust the knob to clamp on or if you get some sort of bike adapter part, we could easily accommodate for that. more

Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2021 Ford Ranger. Now the GuideRail is going to be a platform-style bike rack, with a individual weight capacity for 60 pounds per bike, which is really nice, meaning that our heavier bikes and our electric bikes are going to be an option for this rack. Our two main points of contact are also two ratcheting arms one for the front wheel and one for the back wheel, meaning we are making no frame contact, which also means that our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes are going to be an option for this rack too. So the amount of different bikes that this rack can carry is a big diverse amount, but how does it really operate with our Ranger Well, the GuideRail has a tilt-away feature that if we pull this handle right here, it'll actually tilt down. And surprisingly enough, with our Ranger here, we can actually lower our tailgate and it does not make any contact. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman XTC2 TILT and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. Now, the XTC is a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike in these wheel hoops on either side and by our frame, utilizing a frame clamp or a hook in the center. Now, because of the frame hook, in any sort of frame contact, we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes. And because it uses a hook rather than a cradle with a strap, it's not gonna be the best fit for alternative frame bikes, because those downward sloping frames, you're not gonna be able to get a good grab on it with these hooks. Something like a bike adapter bar is going to be needed to ensure a proper fit, and you can find those here at etrailer, just making sure that if you've got one of those bikes, you have that in mind, and maybe look into a different style of bike rack. more

Hey, how's it going, everybody Today we are gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2 platform style bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Ford F-150. This is going to be a platform style rack, like I mentioned. So it's gonna hold our bikes up by the tires and it's gonna make primary contact with our bike right here at the front with this wheel hook and one strap down here at the bottom. So it doesn't make any frame contact. If we wanna use this with our carbon frame bikes, that'll be just fine. If we have a really nice paint job, same thing. more

So you can use this with pretty much any bike that you can think of, whether that's carbon frame, alternative frame, it's got the weight capacity for e-bikes. Because it is a hanging style rack, it's going to make primary contact with our bike up here on the top tube, which means a couple of things. First and foremost that we aren't going to want to use this with our carbon frame bikes. This could potentially damage that while we're driving. Also, if you have a really aggressive alternative frame style bike or a kid's bike, you're gonna have to pick up a bike adapter bar most likely to make it work and fit across the top, similar to this. more

The Destination is going to be, like I mentioned, a two-bike rack. It's gonna be a platform-style rack, which means it holds our bike up by the tires down here at the bottom. In our case, our primary mode of contact is gonna be the center mast here in the middle with these rotated padded clamps, and then two straps, one at the front, one at the back. So because it does make that frame contact, we do recommend against using carbon frames, or if you have a nice paint job, just avoiding that. And if you have an alternative style frame, because we can go up and down the mast a little bit it should help, but you might have to be creative with that. more

This is going to be a two-bike platform style rack, capable of supporting up to 80 pounds per bike which is a lot for a hitch bike rack. So, you can definitely get a couple of E-bikes on here if you'd like to. But we do have a primary contact point of this frame hook here in the middle on our center mast. So, if you wanna use this with your carbon frame bikes I'd recommend against it because we do make frame contact. Although they are padded, we are still pushing down and could potentially damage our frames while we're moving. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Ford F-150 HLY66ZR- Video
How's it going everybody Today we are going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination E hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2021 Ford F-150. The Destination E is going to be designed for e-bikes at buying. It has a weight capacity of 70 pounds per bike. It's gonna hold it up primarily with these trays and cradles down here on the bottom. And our primary point of contact is going to be these rotated padded jaws here on our center mast which is going to hold our bike securely. But because it does make frame contact we'd recommend not using this with carbon frame bikes but because it is able to rotate so much, it should work for a lot of your alternative frame style bikes. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2-Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Ford Maverick. This is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, holding the bike in these wheel cradles and primarily by our front tire. That's gonna be the thing that keeps our bike upright, and for the most part, holds it in place. It doesn't make any frame contact with the bike, so it makes it a great option for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and with the 60 pound weight capacity per bike, it can handle some e-bikes too. Now, like many other kinda higher end platform racks, this does have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at E-trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Ford Edge. The FullTilt is going to be a hanging style bike rack capable of holding five bikes. In this case, up to 150 pounds total. So because it is a hanging style rack that's going to make primary contact and hold onto our bikes by the top tube here. So if you have a carbon frame bike, we would recommend against using this because it will make that frame contact. more

The Sport Rider SE is popular because it has a lot going for it as far as capacity. It's able to support 80 pounds per bike. It's gonna be a platform style bike rack, so it's gonna hold the bike up primarily by the tray and these cradles here. So this is a pretty popular bike rack because of its design where the ramp is included and stored on the rack. So if you have extra heavy electric bikes and you need an easier way to get them onto the bike rack 'cause you don't want to lift them as high, well, this might be a good option for you. So you have this very unique goalpost design which allows you to step into the rack and get your bikes. So if you have bikes in different shapes and sizes, we have a pretty medium range, but also pretty good weight capacity of 40 pounds per bike. Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Edge HR4000- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination Four-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Ford Edge. So the Destination Four is one of my favorite racks when it comes to carrying around a lot of bikes without taking a lot of space and without spending a lot of money because this is gonna be a quick and easy way to get bikes of different shapes and sizes and, from experience, I do know that it works really well with your smaller children's bikes as well. So if you want to upgrade from your hanging rack and you want more stability, I would highly recommend looking at the Destination Four. There are some downsides to this rack though and with the Ford Edge, we're gonna talk about that. The main downside is that you cannot tilt this rack away. more
